Service Description

To say a dog's adolescent period is challenging is the understatement of the century. When dogs are between 5 and 24 months of age they may seem to forget the manners you worked so hard developing in the first few months of their life with you. In the supportive environment of our Life Skills Class, Caitlyn uses positive-reinforcement-based training methods to build your dog's confidence and improve your communication skills so that you and your dog will be ready to face life's challenges together, with confidence. This course will give you what you need to build a cooperative, healthy, and happy life with your dog. Tentative course schedule: Week 1: Orientation, getting to know you, your puppy, and your goals to ensure each team's needs are being met. Introduction to clicker training, marker training, breed specific enrichment, luring, and shaping. Week 2: Working out clicker kinks. Learning canine body language and mechanisms of behavior change. Week 3: Promoting Calmness, skills to implement in everyday life Week 4: Impulse control, Stationary Behaviors Week 5: Loose Leash Walking Week 6: Recalls Training, Threshold Training

Cancellation Policy

If Client fails to give at least 24 hours cancellation notice, or is not present at time of scheduled appointment, session fees are still due. A “no show” or cancellation within 24 hours of appointment time will still be counted as one session. Appointments may be rescheduled up to two times before being forfeited. All classes must be completed within 70 days from the date of payment or they will be forfeited. Any fees incurred on your transaction to Courteous Canines Inc. from PayPal or Venmo are not refundable. We apologize for this inconvenience and wish we could absorb the cost of the fees for everyone, but we simply cannot. Thank you for understanding.
